The 12th Annnual Art for Life took place at Private Residence On July 30,2011 in East Hampton, New York. Guest included Jessica White, Mary J Blige, the expectation of P Henson, Soledad O 'Brien, Ajak Deng, Donna Karan, Jennifer Hudson, La La Vasquez, Russell Simons, Kimora Lee & Kids, Djimon Hounsou, Flaviana Matata and More
Founded in 1995 by brothers Russell, Danny and Joseph "Rev. Run "Simmons, Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation , a 501 (C) 3 Organization, is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant exposure and access to arts the arts, and to offering opportunities for underrepresented artist Exhibition and artist of color.
Over the past 15 years, Rush has Developed a Broad base of friends, collaborators and Supporters dedicated to supporting its mission. In through processing to the 2000 Students served in it's education program, each year Rush exhibits the work of 40 to 50 Emerging and community-based artist in its galleries, welcomes over 10,000 gallery visitors, and provides unique opportunities for young people interested in Careers in the arts.
Currently operates Rush galleries and art education program in Chelsea, Manhattan (Rush Arts Gallery) and Clinton Hill, Brooklyn (Corridor Gallery). Rush Education Programs are designed to inspire Students, provide positive Alternatives to high-risk behaviors, and support Academic performance increases.
